Most buyers and environmental activists, handing back the seeds that have been purchased to fishermen to be implanted in areas prone to erosion and the center of the development of coastal aquatic biota.

On March 11, 2015, some PUPUK activists assisted in the planting of thousands of mangroves that have been reproduced to the Gresik area. Seeds purchased by activists, planted around the coast (tidal areas) of Gresik so that ecosystems there can be preserved.

Gresik-The coastal conservation business seems to be an attractive business opportunity for some Fishermen in Indonesia. As done by the group Fishermen Tirta Buana, around the beach Village Banyuurip, Ujung Pangkah-Gresik. In cooperation with PUPUK and PT.PGN SAKA Pangkah Limited, they are eagerly establishing nurseries and mangrove selling centers.

Given the fact that in two decades the existence of mangrove ecosystem has decreased drastically, which in this case also affects the sea of shrimp and fish fishermen. Plus The issue of free trade is a lot of buzzing the principles of eco-labeling and eco-friendly which requires the conservation of natural resources and fisheries in the production system of marine products and forests, it then encourages the fishermen to take advantage of the ability and knowledge of marine by opening a mangrove ecotourism business .

With the intention of anticipating the situation as above that absolutely done with the preservation of mangroves, the business of these fishermen officially opened on December 18, 2014 ago. Within 3 months, 5000 mangrove seedlings have been successfully sown.

Through online sales in social media, in an instant 2600 seeds have been successfully sold. The sale-based system of coastal forest investment with the bonus of mangrove planting in the surrounding area, has become the attraction of buyers and environmental activists.

The awareness that mangrove has many economic functions (as a source of fuel, building materials, textile materials, food, and medicines) makes this business quite promising for groups of fishermen whose income is uncertain.
